Unionfab Lowers Metal Printing Prices by Up to 46%

Introdcution

Unionfab has updated pricing across selected 3D printing materials, including both metal and resin options. The new pricing is now live worldwide, is applied automatically in our online quoting system, and reflects a long-term pricing update rather than a limited-time promotion.

For eligible parts, customers will see the updated price immediately after uploading a CAD file, with no coupon code required.

How the Update Works

1.Now live worldwide

The updated pricing is already active globally. If your part can be quoted automatically online and you select one of the updated materials, the new pricing will be applied automatically after you upload your CAD file. No coupon code is required.

2.Based on online auto-quote pricing

The listed reductions are based on Unionfab’s previous online auto-quote prices. They apply to printing fees only and do not include post-processing, quality inspection, packaging, taxes, customs duties, or shipping.

3.Manual quotes may vary

Manual quotations are handled differently from online auto-quoted jobs. Because they take project-specific factors into account, including part geometry, size, complexity, post-processing, quality requirements, and delivery needs, they do not follow the same fixed reduction percentages listed above. However, the reduced printing cost will still be considered where applicable in the final manual quote.

4.Engineering review may be required

Projects with special dimensions, complex structures, or specific delivery requirements may require manual review. Safety-critical, aerospace-critical, and medical implant parts must go through separate engineering review.

We are also expanding our Economy Grade options within our material lineup. 316L Economy Grade and AlSi10Mg Economy Grade are not new materials, but different grades designed for budget-sensitive projects that still need functional parts.

The standard grades remain the preferred choice when parts require finer surface quality, higher batch consistency, or more demanding performance requirements.

For Economy Grade parts, Unionfab deploys flexible cross-factory capacity based on real-time production load. Depending on line availability, parts may be produced on either general-purpose equipment or higher-precision equipment.

Sample A shows the more textured result from general-purpose output, while Sample B shows the finer finish from higher-precision output. Both meet functional-use requirements.

For Standard Grade parts, Unionfab routes jobs to preferred high-precision production lines. Unlike Economy Grade’s flexible scheduling, Standard Grade is locked to the best available high-precision equipment to ensure better surface finish, finer detail reproduction, and more consistent batch performance, as reflected in the Sample C.

Note: All images above show standard as-printed results only. If you need a smoother or mirror-like surface, post-processing options such as magnetic polishing or CNC finishing can be used.

As Unionfab continues to expand capacity and improve operational efficiency, we are passing part of those cost advantages back to our customers. Our goal is to help teams reduce the cost of prototyping, product iteration, and small-batch manufacturing without lowering material, production, or quality standards.

Orders that can be quoted automatically online and use one of the updated materials are eligible for the listed reduction percentages.

5. Do manual quotes receive the same reduction percentage?

Not necessarily. Manual quotes are evaluated case by case and may consider part geometry, special dimensions, structural complexity, post-processing, quality inspection, delivery needs, and other project-specific requirements. The reduced printing cost will be considered where applicable, but the final reduction may not match the percentages listed above.

6. What costs are excluded from the listed reductions?

The listed reductions apply to printing fees only. Post-processing, quality inspection, packaging, taxes, customs duties, and shipping are not included.

7. When is manual review required?

Manual review may be required for special dimensions, complex structures, special post-processing needs, or specific delivery requirements.

8. How are safety-critical, aerospace-critical, or medical implant parts handled?
